A magickal name is not always needed but a lot of wiccans and witches
choose to take on a new name...so how to find what's right for you? Well a lot of people will say meditate and look out for
anything that stands out, try to look at your personality and see what would suit you. Obviously you can change your name
as you evolve etc etc. Anywho here's a spell that may help.
This spell is to help you find your Magickal
name. You will need: A candle (preferably your favorite color), a writing utensil, and a piece of paper.
Go to a place
where you will not be disturbed. On the paper draw an open door with the writing utensil. Light the candle and turn off all
the lights.
Hold the paper up in front of the candle so that the flame is visible through the open door (but not so close
to the candle so that its burning it).
Imagine yourself going through the door and finding you magickal name. Chant:
"through this door of light i see,
let my magickal name come to me.
On this
day,
by the stroke of nine
bring me my magickal name or give me a sign!"
Chant until you feel the need to
stop. Your name should come to you within a few hours.
